In-between Seasons: What to Wear Now
The weather is slowly turning, the nights are beginning to draw in and we can all tell that summer is dying. Winter hasn’t arrived just yet though; it’s as though the weather can’t decide what to do. This can make it difficult to decide what to wear, but fear not, because we’re going to show you the way to looking awesome whether it’s sunny or soggy.
Lightweight knitwear is perfect for this time of year. Not too heavy to get you breaking out in a sweat, but if used in the right way, will keep you warm and comfortable whatever the weather. It should be a wardrobe staple, but if you’re new to light knitwear, then perhaps this is the time to make sure you get it right.
- Think about how you want to wear your knit. If you’re more comfortable wearing jumpers on their own, then make sure they fit properly. A baggy jumper doesn’t look good. If, on the other hand, you’re going to be wearing a jumper or cardigan over a shirt, then you’ll need more room. If it’s too tight it’ll bunch and look messy.
- Go for natural materials. Wools will keep you warm as well as keeping their shape.
A Heavier Trouser
A heavier trouser helps keep you warm, and can be dressed-up as well as down. They are cool enough to wear at this time of year when the temperatures are a bit higher too. Paired with a jumper and a pair of desert boots, they are perfect for a lunchtime date. Chinos work particularly well – especially if they have a tailored edge to them.
It’s not quite cold enough yet, so don’t start thinking about your new winter coat just yet! Stick to blazers, hoodies and jackets for something stylish but easy to slip on and off.
