New Balance – Tipping the scales

574, 410 and 530 might just sound like numbers to me and you… but, to footwear fanatics they will know they are the personal ID tag to just a small selection of New Balance trainers.

With summer bearing down upon us and our calendars filling up fast with sizzling social events it’s important to pick the best footwear to compliment your outfit. Welcome New Balance.

New Balance 410

Boston based company New Balance has been taking the trainer market by storm in the last two years rubbing shoulders with the big hitters such as Nike and Adidas, and it’s no surprise! New Balance brings to the stage an authentic All-American retro style steeped in athletic history. With gritty colour ways, a range of styles and comfort at the heart of its design it is surprising New Balance ever went under the radar. We are going to take a quick look at just a few of our favourite styles:

The 574 is arguably the most famous style from New Balance. Slide into a classic retro style with the 574 for a look that cannot be beaten.

First on the scene in 1988 the 574 was actually a mash up of two other New Balance classics. Since its arrival the 574 quickly generated a following of its own and has become an iconic trainer for the Boston brand. The 574 often teams a suede and mesh upper with a moderately chunky foam sole. The 574 has teamed retro inspiration with modern needs to create a trainer fit for everyone. Slip into an all-black pair to work with almost every outfit, or turn heads with one of the amazing colour ways we have in stock.

The 410 is a sleeker, slimmer, more lightweight trainer perfect for scorching summer days. They even come with a perforated upper to keep you cool and dry. This sporty, streamlined, track inspired trainer has a textured upper and small foam sole which also features the iconic ‘N’. The 410 still packs a huge hit, just in smaller packaging!

Taking it up a notch, the 530s have 90s sportswear style written all over them. This running shoe would be perfect for anyone wanting to take their A game to the gym, or on the street! With a rubber outer sole, suede/mesh upper and detailing at the heel, this legendary New Balance trainer could steal the show in the heart of Boston or on the streets of London but one thing is for sure… When you own these, you won’t want to ever wear anything else!

With so many classic styles to choose from and every pair packing a mighty punch, it is extremely hard for us at StandOut.net to pick just one pair as a favourite. However, what we do know is that when you have a company that prides itself on the fit, comfort and performance of their trainers and then teams that up with bold, exciting colour ways you’d have to go a long way to find anything better!
