What to Wear to a Football Match
The football season is now well and truly underway and whilst a football match focuses more on the amount of goals scored, skill and technique of the players, free kicks and penalties there’s no reason not to keep you look both understated and stylish, even when you’re cheering your team on.
We’ve put together some ideas that go beyond the standard football shirt to help you decide what to throw on for the game.
The outfit you wear to a game will largely be dependent on weather. So if it’s cold (and we’re placing our bets on the chances it will be in the UK) we recommend throwing on a pair of simple, well fitted jeans. This is something that can easily be paired with numerous tops while giving you a laid back and stylish vibe. You could opt for the skinny version if you wish although they are not the most comfortable to sit around in.
ONLY & SONS DARK BLUE DENIM LOOM 4358 SLIM FIT JEANS – £39.95
Available in Dark Blue Denim, these Loom 4358 Slim Fit Jeans from Only & Sons come with elongated belt loops. They have a classic pocket design with two front pockets, and two rear patch pockets. This pair of jeans also features Button fly and brand tab behind the waistband.
Team up those jeans with a perfectly patterned jumper to keep things from looking too plain. We recommend not going too overboard with the pattern but some simple stripes or light design can lift your outfit effortlessly.
JOHN SMEDLEY SILVER/BLUE REDFREE STRIPED KNIT – £124.95
The Redfree Striped Knit from John Smedley comes in Silver/Blue colour. This knit for men also has crew neck, ribbed and elasticated cuffs and hemline. This knit in regular fit comes in long sleeve and features stripes also on back.
Last, but not least, no football outfit would be complete without its accessories. A scarf in your team’s colour is a given, but don’t forget your hat! A flat cap can totally transform the look of your match day outfit and finish it off with a soft, smart, edge!
